Animal Bites
What to do
– Bleeding
– Puncture wound, possibly quite deep
What to do
– Wash the wound thoroughly under cool running water.
– Pat dry and cover with a sterile dresssing.
– If the bite is deep, control bleeding by applying direct pressure and raising the affected limb.
– Ensure that the casualty is taken to the hospital.
